Can anyone tell me if, with the LG M228WD, you can record via the scart socket on th e tv with a video capture card for pc when watching something via the HDMI input.

I would think the signal being displayed via the HDMi input is the one you would capture. To record a separate signal, it would need to be available to the capture card. Usually if you want to record one channel and watch another you need two tuners, or two signals. Have you tried this yet yourself? Be interesting to know if you managed it.
