Helior, hang your shameful head in even more shame :D
I`ve got a better one:
CPU: Does it perform it`s tasks?
Memory: Can you close open and close down loads of proggies, open up new ones, close `em and then do it all again but GEET QUICK like?
Graphics: Is the screen warped?
Gaming Graphics: Can you play and enjoy your favourite games?
Primary Hard Disk: Does it fit all your **** on?
If answer to all is yes, then u have a 7.9 (woopee) rig, enjoy it and ffs, stop benchmarking it.

I`ve got a better one:
CPU: Does it perform it`s tasks? Yes, even if it's slow ^^

Windows experience index is for numpties. :fight:
yeah, i'd have to agree with the two above posts, does it do what you want it to? My upgrade to a 4870x2 wasn't as great as I was expecting, and that was from a 7900GT - framerates are still the same, but I can switch on a lot more of the bells and whistles and still retain those.

WEI doesn't care for your CPU speed it reads the CPU string :)
Score is pretty decent :)

5.9 all round on vista. I agree, if you rely on this for telling you how good your pc is, then you fail. hehe.

Windows 7 goes upto 7.9 in each section... Vista was capped at 5.9
I get 7.6 CPU and 7.9 from my SSD's
It's my Graphics that let the side down at 5.9 which is suprising as I have 2 x GTX 275's in SLI

My system does ok - generally min 6.8 but until my SSD arrives (still waiting) I've shoved an old (as in about 9 years old) IBM Maxtor 30GB one I had lying around in to host the OS which WEI gives a whopping 4.3 to.

I get a 2.0 in Gaming Graphics with an ATI Radeon X1650 Pro... In Vista and Windows 7 Beta I used to get a 3.5. Hmm...

I have to 100% agree with Geordie no1, people get hung up on benchmarks, and you have to be a serious overclocker/scientist to compete on benchies.
not only that but it go so wrongly competitive that the vendors would tweak their drivers to get higher scores, and to heck with whether the machine would do what you wanted anymore.
The best thing a benchmark does is stress test my machine ! :
all my games run, on win 7, (well the ones I have tried)
only wierd thing is , I am getting a bit of stutter on COD4 with the WHQL nvidia drivers, hope there is a new release soon....thats mobile drivers please nvidia.....
right its gotta be playtime now:)
