Nice, only reason I didn't buy one of these Enermax was because they only offer 3 years warranty as opposed to 5 years with my Seasonic.

Also a competitor is offering to do RMA's through them, hence why alot of online Enermax e-tailor's have dropped their product range - Enermax RMA is not based in the UK anymore. :(

well I can still buy them in the UK so I'm still happy

To be honest they might night be as good as you might think have a look at this review http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=138

They are one of the top review sites in the world and allthough they gave it great scores just look at the pictures of the added on soldered bits and the quality of the soldering, this is clearly a doctored PSU sent from Enermax for review they were selling them a long time before this review and probably without the extra soldered bits. I wanted one of these very much then I started reding reviews about it and all the review samples have been doctored if you search and look at the pictures, now how do we know we're going to get a PSU that has these extra bits? And if we do are you impressed by the crappiest soldering job I've ever seen in a PSU? How Enermax can send out units like this when they know they will be stripped and photo'd beggers belief, I could solder better when I was 12 and I am being serious I could probably have done it better when I was 10 just giving 2 years extra to make sure I'm not exageratting.
If I saw a review of one at a reputable tester that had been bought from a shop randomly and it was still of the same electrical qualities ie had been modified with the extra bits then I would trust them more but can you honestly think Enermax will strip every unit down and hand solder extra components into it?
Those components are allmost certainly what makes the voltage/ripple so stable and makes the reviews so good and without them they are probably no better and maybe even worse than the Seasonic or Antec units.
Maybe shops like Novatech read these reviews and stock items that they can trust if so if I were a buyer this would not be in my shop.

That soldering job seems a bit messy I agree but check anandtech. if something wasn't right, they'd look into it but they give it nothing but praise.

Always much to enjoy at JonnyGuru, especially the humour.

As you can see, the sleeving is that same treatment we saw with the Liberty Eco. It's like a snake and Grandma's old Hoover had a baby or something.

Ew, that soldering and kludged diodes. But most power supplies are like that.

Look carefully not a single picture of the underside of the main PCB but pictures in great detail of EVERYTHING else (not shouting but showing highlighted) why have they deliberately not shown that one part of the PSU?
Lets say if we bought one would our's have these modified additional parts? One things for sure they were being sold before the reviews and that doesn't bode well.
I know Olklahoma Wolf who is the PSU tester at Jonny Guru now Jonny works for BFG and he actually resoldered that very PSU and sold it yet in his own rigs he has a Antec Signature 850 and a Seasonic 850 M12D.
This whole scenario put me off big time, I wanted one for my new build because of the reviews but waited until Olklahoma Wolf did his review and I'm glad I did, I could have found out more because I also know Ray Milton who was the manager of the electronics dept at Enermax UK before they closed, he's been there years and would have known what the story was, I had inside info on the Liberty's and knew how many blew up before they changed the design of those.
All I say is give it a few months to a year and we'll see how good they are, they rushed them out so quickly that the unit that was sent to 80 Plus for testing doesn't even look like the ones on sale just like some that were sent out to other reviews
At least the one Jonny Guru tested actually looked like the ones on sale even if it had a few extra parts fitted.

I was amazed to see an Enermax advert on the Jonny Guru website after the superb review of the Revolution, do they only advertise after a good review has been done?

Nothing wrong with that. You don't seem too fond of the enermax.

No problem with Enermax but because of the hiper advertising of the Revolution I was really really interested in getting one so I read as much as I could, firstly I found they had sent pre production models out for testing to review sites that were very different to the final ones for sale that we buy, so I couldn't see the point they not even close to the same, the same model was sent to 80 Plus for verification again not the model we have to buy.
Then when the final PSU was sent to review sites all of them had been hand soldered with modifications and additional parts, so how again does that compare to one we would buy?

On that basis I wouldn't spend my money on one because we don't get what has been tested and if our units were better they would have been tested instead so I can only assume that the units we buy in the shops are not as good otherwise this is what would have been tested.

In all my years of reading and I have read every single review of PSU's on Jonny Guru and Silent PC along with around 40-50% on Andandtech and all the reviews on overclock 3D and I have never seen this before infact I have seen review sites refuse to test non production models, unfortunately because of the amount of information in my head I cannot remember or find the refused reviews.

What I will do is to monitor the Enermax Revolutions for 6 months to a year and if they are good I will buy one unfortunately my contact at Enermax UK is no longer there otherwise I would not have to wait to find out.

I do genuinely hope they are as good as they claim but with all the things I have seen I'm confused.

News http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=145

The 1250 has been changed slightly, the extra bits are now removed the soldering is better, the efficiency is down just over 1% costing them Silver now in bronze.

But im more impressed this is a genuine customer PSU, no added bits on this one, maybe Enermax dearly wanted the Silver award but is it not better to have a good honest Bronze that is best in class, this will take some beating.
Only concern for me is a weak 3.3v rail but in todays PC's they don't do a great deal so it will not get close to it's maximum.

This is what I wanted to see and hear and if they hadn't sent all the review samples out with added bits I would have one in my PC now. Now I'll have to wait until next month I'm spent up.

That's the evo though, not the flagship revolution 85+. But yeah, good to see better soldering and performance that matches the more expensive revolution.

I've got the 1250w Revolution one, although it's barely got any real hardware to chew on yet. I'm still yet to upgrade my GPU.

There's a great review over at http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.php?/power_supply/enermax_revolution85_950w_modular_psu/1

This is a really good review I think and it's a full retail version.
