what kind of set up does everyone have? Im thinking of a normal portable player, wether it be an ipod or a cheaper player rigged up as opposed to a fancy head unit.

I think the iTrip radio frequency things are illegal, and those cassette deck adapters look untidy and dont sound good.

I have a Clarion CD player in my Peugeot which has support for a CD auto changer, only Id like to see if this connection could be hacked in someway to rig up to my ipod.

anyone got any interesting setups?

Yea, the iTrip is still under debate as to its legality, but for now it is illegal as it constitutes a pirate transmission because it could concievably be picked up by someone in a nearby car or house as you pass.

Me, I'm lookin into a head unit that comes with a port or wire attached. I haven't bothered with something like an iPod, as i don't need to carry much music on mine, so i have a Q-Be 1gb cube, currently on the market as MobiBlu and now available upto 2gb in size, for £80 or so.

Quite a few different units out there with the USB port on the front which is what I'm after, but trying to get some dosh togethor for a Kenwood unit (rather than MoS, Goodman, or any other budget rate machine for £80 that just about breaks the 4x35w barrier) which i've seen for between £165 and £225 (dearest being Sextons, cheapest being Kenwood UK direct) which has 4x45w plus all the additions of a decent brand.

Strange enough, I read about this the other day. The ban has been lifted due to the things being too widely available.
