It's a pitty those foxconn boards are awful otherwise that would be one **** of a deal :D (not that it isn't a good deal, we use loads of these exact bundles at work and there fantastic for the money in a business enviornment, but i would never personally buy one purely due to the motherboard :()

mrbios, I think you are creating uneccessary Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD) here.

While Foxconn have had their occasional batch horrors like loose North Bridge heatsinks on 780G motherboards, their is no reason to think they make bad motherboards at the cheap and cheerful end of the scale. Nova have used them for years across their range.

As an enthusiast, I just wish we had received some more feedback on how it overclocks. But this bundle will make a good affordable upgrade for a lot of people.

Well maybe "awful" is a little OTT on my part but they still aren't brilliant boards in my opinion, for the price there fantastic, but there is a really good reason they are so cheap

I did take the time to read the manual on this motherboard. Amy might confirm, but it actually looks like the best cheap overclocking motherboard around if the bios really has the settings shown in the manual. It also supports the wonderful E5200 CPU sometime down the road. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't appear to have a very high power rating however, and will not be any good for Quads.

Hiya

yep i will confirm this one, its a great board to overclock on and its the same one we use in our 5200 bundle as its so efficient. I agree that its not the best board if you want to put a quad on there, which is why we dont offer that as an option.

for an entry level bundle with bags of potential, this boards a winner every time
