Hi there

Back in the SETI days you could download say 100 WU's, crunch them all and then just take a giant :dump: every so often! :D

Is this possible with folding on the GPU client?

I ask because if it is I could download a load of units to my laptop, stick them on a USB pen and take them to a load of machines with no NET and every so often make a huge :dump: and bust the pan. :D

No idea buddy,if you could it would certainly throw the cat amongst pidgeons.

Everyone on the team would be downloading shed loads of WU's & running round to all their family & friends houses to use their comps. :D

Nice idea though. :)

I would've thought it would be a **** of a hassle. You'd have manually assign each core to each work unit and all right?

Can't see how you'd get it to work tbh bud, but if it was possible, it would certainly bump the ppd up. :D

Yeah, I also can't see it working. Maybe you could write a program that "pretended" to be a fahcore, and kept asking for new wu's, then that program sends them all out to your comp...

ah forget it. lol.

A C word crossed my mind too. but it wasn't cheat, it was....

Clever.

@GIBBO, just buy some cheap wireless dongles? (if you've got wireless broadband available for them in the first place).

EDIT- just re-read the opening post more thoroughly, the whole problem is because he hasn't got the net in the 1st place. how dumb....
