I am itching for an upgrade and am looking at the Asus motherboards for a Phenom. They mostly have 8800 graphics built in. As I already have an 8800 & it won't Hybrid SLI (needs to be a 9800) does anyone know if it can it be utilised in Linux for folding ? Seems a waste to just sit there doing nowt while my existing card does all the work.

FAH haven`t produced a Linux GPU folding client thus far. A Phenom however would work with multiple Windas SMP clients or VMWare Linux based Gromacs lovers, many a choice buddy ... nice to see you again big fella :)

Erh........ it is diet time, 151Kilos now  so you not incorrect, even being 6'4" doesn't excuse it.
Too much gaming, I need to leave the PC folding more & walk away from it & do something physical.

No worries there m8, I'm not prone to violence except on a computer screen. It is the little guys you have to watch out for, they are the aggressive ones. Now if I can just stop fragging & get folding again, I've been a slacker of late. :)
Edit,
Speaking of which, there goes a unit to the cause, first for a couple of days.
