Samsung SM2233RZ 3D Monitor + Nvidia 3D Glasses Bundle

Samsung 2233RZ 3D Monitor

The Samsung 2233RZ monitor boasts the refined, streamlined and unique design, in addition to its top-class performance, that consumers have come to expect from Samsung products. The display is housed in a thin, glossy black bezel that is a stylish accent to any environment. It provides a compelling 3D experience with incredible picture quality, and users can now set up a shortcut key to easily shuttle between 2D and 3D.

With the environment in mind, Samsung built in an off timer function for energy-saving benefits, enabling the monitor to shutdown at set times. Unlike many other widescreen monitors, the Samsung 2233RZ displays 5:4 and 4:3 images at accurate aspect ratios without enlargement or distortion.

The 2233RZ, in conjunction with NVIDIA?s advanced software, automatically converts over 350 games to stereoscopic 3D without the need for special game patches. High-tech active shutter glasses, designed with top-of-the-line optics, deliver double the resolution per eye and ultra-wide viewing angles than passive glasses. In addition, the new pure 120Hz LCD monitors unlock crystal-clear, flicker-free stereoscopic 3D gaming that provides 60Hz per eye.

The 3D glasses are designed so that users can simultaneously wear prescription glasses comfortably. This ensures that users with corrective eyewear can view fully-immersive stereoscopic 3D. In addition, adjustable nose pieces are included to ensure a custom fit for each user. The 3D glasses are easily powered over a standard USB cable and can last an entire week without a recharge, which helps to minimize battery replacement. The monitor?s intelligent circuit design enables automatic shutdown after 10 minutes when not in use in order to preserve battery life.

Features:
- Viewable Area: 22" Widescreen (1680x1050 Resolution)
- 3D Ready (NVIDIA 3D Glasses required)
- 120Hz / 120FPS Support
- Interface: Analog / Digital

Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D Glases

http://images.novatech.co.uk/ev-nv-3dglas2.jpg

Tired of living in a 2D world? Upgrade your PC to a fully immersive stereoscopic 3D gaming experience with NVIDIA® GeForce® 3D Vision?. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, the GeForce 3D Vision kit transforms hundreds of PC games, 3D movies, and digital photographs into an eye popping, interactive experience.

The glasses communicate via an infrared transmitter that you plug in to your PC via USB, which also features a dial for adjusting the 3D depth in real-time, as well as a 20ft operating distance. The glasses themselves contain a battery too, although Nvidia claims that this lasts for up to 40 hours between charges.

Much like Nvidia?s SLI technology, the 3D glasses require a profile in Nvidia?s drivers, but Nvidia has already racked up a huge list of 350 games that it says will work out of the box, which includes Left 4 Dead, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Race Driver: GRID and a host of other games. Nvidia has also considered those of us who already wear glasses, and the company says that the glasses can easily fit over a normal pair of glasses. Three alternative nosepieces will also be supplied in the box so that you can get a comfortable fit.

As well as supporting a large number of games, Nvidia is also pushing the other possible applications of the glasses such as stereoscopic photos and movies. In fact, Nvidia says that a stereoscopic lens from LOREO (pictured below) could even allow you to kit out an SLR camera with the ability to take stereoscopic photographs that could be viewed with the glasses. Nvidia also says that the glasses fully support the 3dtv Stereoscopic Player for watching 3D movies.

Features:
- The glasses require a GeForce 8800-series graphics card or above.
- Convert standard games into stereoscopic 3D
- Highest quality stereoscopic 3D solution
- Support for new pure 120 Hz LCD monitors
- Maximum 3D Ready display flexibility
- Designed for comfort and style
- Wear over your prescription glasses
- High power wireless infrared communication
- Game for more than forty hours on a single charge
- Adjust 3D depth adjustment from the IR emitter
- Watch movies in 3D
- Instant Immersion
- Stereoscopic 3D picture support
- Powered by NVIDIA GeForce GPUs

that's amazing photoshop of Bugatti Varyon, can i have more pic of that car with your logo? in fact, a couple wallpaper of that car with your logo won't hurt ;)

if you want 3D, trust me, these are a must. i have tryed using hacked drivers of nVidia 3D vision for these glasses with cheap red-blue ebay glasses, it worked fantastic in almost all games. only problem was the colour i see are off due to the glasses, and with these real 3D glasses, they won't have the colour problem.

thats a great price for the glasses alone as i thought they would retail at around £250 and the bundle is even better considering that one of your competitors is over £110 more expensive

Just about any game looks great using these.. You get amazing depth with no flicker, ghosting or color screwing up. AND, I hear games are being developed with a "3D Vision Mode" - meaning games not only get depth, but come out of the screen too!!! U get a good demo of this with the driver pack, the NVIDIA logo comes and floats righ tout infront of you! AMAZING!

I dont think these things will stay exclusive to just games for long.... Think films, and of course, **** ;)

Not only that if you mix 3d glasses with touch screen technology which could be used mainsteam at some point due to microsoft looking into it for windows 9billion or something you could end up wth a computer system like the one in minority report

Brings back memories of the edimensional specs with my old CRT monitor (I couldn't live with 1280x1024 anymore though). You really do need at least 60fps per eye to avoid distracting flicker, which is why it's taken so long to offer a viable LCD solution.

The wow factor is significant though if you've never experienced it before, even watching the nVidia logo come out of the screen towards you and sink back behind the screen is impressive. It is surprisingly immersive in games too. Flight sims, driving games and even Operation Flashpoint (back in the day) were transformed.

I think it's pretty unlikely we'll see loads of games written with 3D in mind anytime soon, but on past experience if you've got the dosh you will be impressed. I'm guessing the decision to put demo rigs in the showrooms will open a few eyes (and wallets) ;)

Yep, I had the same setup, the old LCD shutter glasses...monitor had to run around 100HZ or higher to avoid headaches. Unreal tournament was scarily good.. I quite fancy a look at the new implementation, it's a bit rich for me at the moment as I can't quite justify upgrading my 24" dual monitor setup... interesting though..

Hi,
I've just registered with novatech to pre-order the glasses (I don't need the monitor as I'll be using them with a DLP projector) but the page you linked to for the glasses-only option doesn't have an "Add to Cart" button so I can't buy them. Could someone sort this out please? (I've been waiting with gritted teeth more than 2 years since nVidia nerfed support for other shutterglass solutions so I'm very very keen to get these asap).
Many thanks,
DD

I'm thinking of going to one of your stores tomorrow (today when you read this) and picking one up - any idea when they're likely to be in and will Reading and/or Bristol have them?

Thanks.

Im going to wait awhile and see what everyone has to say about them first before plumping the money for a set of glasses. Also could you tell me does the monitor have to be 120 hz to make the glasses work, or would by dell 24 inch 2407 suffice.

I ordered one these on Friday 01.05.2009 at 11 am, around 5 pm I called Novatech and I found out that stock arrived to Portsmouth and I should get one of them to my local shop in Reading, I called Novatech again today before noon and they again told me that I should get them after 2.00 pm, few min ago I have a chat with sales department and they told me that I will have them on Wednesday !!!! WTF is this ? This is 2nd time when Novatech dont care to delivery my items on Saturdays or just LAZY driver didnt get this to his van, if I want to delivery for Wednesday I should order now or Tuesday but not on Friday and wait till Wednesday. it does as it workes by flashing the normle picture then the 3d one one after the other.
most monitors are 60hrz or 60fps so the normal picture and 3d would only be going at 30fps which we be noticeable to the human eye and would cause eye strain so 120hrz is need so its 60hrz each;)

Hi Gibbo, :hail:

i have just come back from your cardiff shop, and they do not have a Demo set-up of the 3d graphics monitor, they said that i could not view the monitor as they would have to open the box, and if they did and i did not purchase, then they would not be able to sell it as new to another customer.

why have they not got any set-up for demo is my question, when you posted they do have. :dump:

please advise
