Just wondering if there are any fans of horror movies around?
And if so, what's your favourite?
Also has anyone actualy seen any decent ones recently? Cause I can't think of a really good movie I've seen in quite a while. In fact, I can't actualy remember the last one I watched as they've all been terrible.

Mirrors is good, quite jumpy in places and just like a horror flick should be, good story also.

The Bare Witch Project. This actually was scary because I honestly didn't think **** could be so bad.

1408 was a pretty good newish horror film, plus it has John Cusak in it and he's a class actor in my opinion!

Anyone seen Jack Frost? That's pretty funny. Or gingerbraead man. Still havn't seen any really good ones. REC was alright. Spanish movie in which a woman is following some firemen for a documentary. They get called to an apartmen block, and all goes a bit downhill from there. They made an american version called Quarantine which is near enough the same, scene for scene, not as good though imo.

It scared me in so much as it's not inconceivable, the biggest monster is man himself and the depths that some will plumb beggars belief. I find fear in the mundane and ordinary far more than the freakish and fantastic, mans inhumanity to man is horrific in itself

I guess I still like the old "Hammer Horrors" as much as any. They did have a certain charm about them. Sleepy Hollow to me seemed to capture some of that feeling.
For me its still The Exorcist, wish it would come out on Blu Ray soon, but all I hear is ... In time ...

i just finished watching this and it was laughable, rubbish story, rubbish acting and even worse special effects.
Avoid at all costs.

I saw Jack Frost and yeah you're right that was a comedy!! :agree:
other than that I don't watch horror movies, my parents let me watch the Exorcist when I was about 6 and I am still scarred, I am wayyy too much of a scaredy cat when it comes to horrors!

The Exorcist (the original ofc) is my favorite horror film also i liked American warewolf in London, and the original night of the living dead.
Most of the horror films in the past 10 years have only been average imo but i guess they don't make them like they used too

A really old UK black and white ghost/horror film I was told to look out for was, Whistle and I'll Come to You

Its not exactly horror as most people see that these days, its not exactly scary either, but it does have a very unnerving quality and is very creepy ... I see parts 1 and 2 of a 3 part showing are on You Tube if you want to look, part 3 might be there too. this is not something you will see on TV much any more, so this might be the only way to catch it.

I could name a whole load of horror films that are good.
Personally im more into the older generation horror flixs , but mostly find world cinema flixs more interesting that main stream ones.
Tale of Two Sisters
9 Songs
Old Boy
Lady Vengence
Korean / Japanese
