I love it when something totally unexpected comes out of the blue during a film and you get that "well I never saw that coming" moment.
My all time favorite is in Dusk to Dawn when you suddenly find out its a vampire movie and not a road movie, I didn`t see that coming.
Anyone else got any good examples.

Most memorable has got to be in Cliffhanger when Sly drops her at the start, don't recall ever having seen a film that started like that before it.

Saw Sixth Sense too late so about 100 people already revealed the twist to me. Fight Club was awesome for the WTF moment.

You are right the Others had a good twist. How about Basic with Samuel L Jackson and John Travolta that had a few good twists right up to the end.

Oh yeah, that film wasn't bad. It did have lots of plot holes and left a bit confused.

The Crying Game. The twist in the middle always makes me cringe


The film was turned down by all the studios because they thought "the twist" in the film would turn viewers off; in fact it became why many went to the movie.

Aye, gotta love Usual Suspects & Fight Club for the twist.

Not anywhere near as good as the previously mentioned 2, but i like the ending of Signs.

Irréversible is quite a crazy film, as you can imagine from the title the whole film is in backwards chronological order, its well worth a watch if you've not seen it already.
Even the DVD case opens the other way round....

From Dusk Till Dawn scared the sh** outta me when they all started turning into vampires!
I watched it about 20 minutes in on channel 4 and didn't even know the name, seemed like a pretty cool movie, Quintin shot some woman for no reason, fair enough... George Clooney, the usual cool guy. Salma Hayek dancing around sexily? Niiiiiiiiiiiice :D

Then all of a sudden BAM everyone's a fu**ing vampire!

Never been so thrown off and confused in my life.

Honestly, did NOT see that coming :P


P.S. George Clooney's bday today, so happy birthday to him lol

Broken Flowers. I thought... "gee it's Bill Murray therefore it MUST be good" and at the end i was like "oh... no it isnt!"........ Surprised ME for sure! lol

Jacob's Ladder - all through the film you are like - WTF is going on - then at the end it suddenly makes sense :D
