Hi,
I bought a Nitro 15.4" Intel M750 (Product Code NNB-363) Laptop back in February. I've had no problems with it until last week. Occasionally, but now more frequently, the LCD screen flickers for a several seconds and then switches off. This is not rectified until I reboot the machine and no input on the touchpad brings the screen back up. I highly doubt that its any power saving settings as this would not cause the screen to flicker in such a random manner before switching off. Hibernation is deactivated as is everything else I can think of. The machine itself is still active, as sometimes I am watching a movie and the sound is still going. Once I was moving a file from my desktop machine and this completed successfully even with the screen inactive. No screensaver is set up.
I think this is some sort of loose connection between the screen and the laptop itself - but if this were the case, the screen would not immediately return to life on reboot.
I have had the machine for six months and is therefore still under warranty. I also have the 2 Year Care Pack for Laptops.
Suggestions and options?
