Hello all, i`ve recently had a courier come out and replace the panel i had in the hope it would fix the probs i`ve had with colour casting and hdmi to dvi working with my tv drive box, having just switched the tv over i can now get a picture on dvi port but no sound, the sound works fine on component connection but not on dvi, any help would be appreciated.

I do understand that the hdmi ti dvi cable will only carry picture but why cant i get sound through my red and white sound cables.

Does anyone who actually work for novatech moderate these forums or answer posts, surely someone knows you must have sold enough of them.

Thanks for the replies novatech, I`ve spent alot of cash over the last few years with your company and i dont intend to spend anymore as i`d advise anyone else who asks me, it would appear that once you`ve sold the product your not greatly interested if anything doesn`t work the way it should.

Hi

You should get audio through two phone cables plugged from the unit which is supplying the video signal to the TV

It could be that the source device is set to feed audio through something other than the phone connectors.

Check the connections, and double check you've got the right sockets on the TV which is the most common problem for these.

In answer to your last question, yes, staff from Novatech do visit often in my experience, there are also lots of independant advisers like m e who visit when we can. A full and exact description of the setup causing you problems will always yield more results simply because people often will not answer unless they are sure they have a specific solution.

Have you tried contacting Novatech via phone?

I`ve spent enough time on the phone in the past to be honest to no avail.

OK, as far as I remember from last time I talked to a customer with a TVDrive box you need to use "PC Audio In" which is not the same connector as you used for component.

When using HDMI to DVI there will be no Audio as DVI does not support the transfer of Audio Signal.
You will need to connect a set of phono leads from the AUDIO output on the TV Decoder Box to the PC Audio in connections on the Display. These Audio in connections if i remember correctly should be next to the input on the TV where you connect your decoder.
