When playing music, if another application plays a sound or music at the same time, it can't handle it properly and the music i'm listening to stutters. I swear i've had this problem before, it's as if it can't handle two sounds at once. Is there a way to stop this from happening, so if two sounds play at once, it doesn't make my music jump?

When I play certain videos (there were some on the net), it would work fine. But for most videos and sounds being played, it will make the music stutter. Also sometimes, if I try and play a video and music at the same time for too long, the music becomes crackly. I have to stop the song, and start it again to get rid of it.

Its odd that theres a problem because its a new laptop. I assumed there might be an option or something.

I want to update the sound card drivers but can't seem to find which one to download. It's a realtek high definition audio card. I've been on the home page but can't seem find the right one. Can anyone give me a hand?

If you use Windows, try doing a Windows Update - advanced mode or what ever it's called. Once it's completed the search, on the left there should be something like "additional updates" or "hardware updates" or similar. It may have picked up the new drivers for you. I kow Vista does and also Windows 2000 has done for some things in the past.

That's a shame, thought it might have...

Have you tried the drivers on the CD that came from Novatech?

As a final try, download all the drivers and see which one "fits" lol (I will not be hed responsible if somehting goes wrong!)

I've just tried playing a video on the net, which was on google video and it worked ok. So it's odd that that video can be played at the same time as music and nothing else can
