Novatech Q321 and Phillips DVP5960 DVD upscaler

Hi, I;ve got the above tv and dvd player connected using the CAB-HDDVI2 cable. My problem is that I can only get the player to display in 480p resolution, it won't upscale to 720p or 1080i. I;m not really sure, but I think that the DVD is not detecting the supported resolution of the Q321 tv.

Anyone got any ideas? Do I need a higher quality cable or will it only work with a HDMI > HDMI connection and not a HDMI > DVI connection

Well I found a solution!

I took the phillips back to comet and tried it out on a Phillips TV, unsuprisingly it worked as it should do, we then tried it on a LG tv and it didn't work so a big congrats to phillips on their product testing!

So got a fullr refund and got the LG DNX190 instead and that works with the DVI input
