I don't really like the way it makes a hole in my ear drums.

i think metal has a difficult curve of understanding.. those who say its just noise simple cant hear it for what it is due to ignorance/ laziness. IMO you cant be a lover of music if you cannot appreciate all music.. << this is something that is common within people who like metal..

Can't hear due to ignorance? LOL
It's called taste. Everyones is different, the fact that he doesn't like metal does not make him ignorant or lazy.

I only like metal in which the lead singer doesn't sound like he has throat cancer.

Chewie
24-06-2009, 12:59 PM

i can understand that

psychologically proven.

not saying there isnt rubbish<< its understandable but due to people misconceptions they often 'dont like something' due to their bias and leave it at that.. i can understand how things might not appeal to others.. eg, im not a fan of pop music, but in saying that i can understand why people like it and there are elements that are good and i do like.. <<>> what im saying is there is a reason why i simply dont prefer it rather than being put off purely by the way someone sings.. or how something sounds.

music with me changes with mood.

also i would argue that people arent as different as they'd like you to believe too :P

Thats the only kind of metal worth listening to in my opinion. Heavier/faster/sludgier the better!!

Perfect examples of which below:

Origin - "Finite"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIMW0aHN0ks

Cannibal Corpse "Evisceration Plaque"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=482tDopNzoc&feature=channel

Hate Eternal "Bringer of Storms"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNcwrLVA4pY

Talking of tech death ...how about a sick drummer/guitarist/bassist showdown?

I'll go first ..

Marco Pitruzzella - Brain Drill / Vital Remains :OMG:

Anyone who likes Creed, look up Alter Bridge and Kutless. They are both semi-Christian in a way but Kutless moreso. Alter Bridge are made up of all but the singer of Creed and they were AWESOME in concert!
