I got no intentions of breaking Nova rules PMM, I quite like the fact there tbh. It was however intended there, as this dude just doesn't seem to understand that having a different opinion to your own isn't wrong or make you *** etc... Callidus didn't accept that so promptly got told in an impolite fashion to go away. I apologise for my rudeness and assure you it won't happen again, providing other forum members behave in a mature manner. This is a forum, not a job so I have no problems I have no hesitation in telling someone what is deserved, I am here to enjoy these services as much as any other user.
I like to think its just a cultural thing thats just been mis-interpreted.
Some peoples banter - sometimes does not translate well in a forum enviroment and a degree of stepping on egg shells to use a phrase is sometimes required in phrasing things more so with this being a family oriantated forum.
I am sure no ill intentions was men't by any posters and any reference to poor taste was only used in jest and not used in a derogatory way but sadly it has caused multiple complaints hense my above post.
As you say people have different views/oppions but also humour ;) not everyone twigs to the type of banter in use because different places have differing forms of it and it does not always work.
Personally think all those liking Amy's Music need therapy... or is that....http://www.therapyquestionmark.co.uk/  noooooo my head hurts

There was only one person intended to get miffed by my post and that was Callidus. Banter I am tolerant of, 1 post I would deem acceptable. Multiple posts with nothing but childish comments I saw as derogatory so acted accordingly. Amy did tell Callidus to behave, he didn't and I retaliated. I understand that this forum is read by people of all ages but am also reluctant to let some child attempt to talk about myself in a negative fashion when it is clearly not called for. As previously stated, I apologise for my rudeness but do not see myself as the one to blame (not that it matters anyway). Plus it's nice to know that the community is so protective of itself, reporting even a "minor" breach of forum regulations.

I'm a bit confused here so have some serious questions. (You don't HAVE to answer any of these and I apologise if these offend)
1: Are you female?
2: If not, are you homosexual?
3: If you are male and genuinely like this music and consider them "belters", are you for real?
Cheers

Guys,
play nice - everyone is entitled to their opinion on what they like and what they dont, a little bit of banter doesnt hurt anyone but please try not to get personal - its not fair.

Hi there
Underdog when you make a post on a forum people are going to reply with their oppinion.
Thats what forums are about and just because you have a particular taste in music does not mean everyone else has the same taste and as such they will post their oppinion.
This is all welcome but don't get upset with people posting their oppinions because they disagree with yours and never drop down to throwing personal insults around, as to put it plainly insulting other members is not acceptable.

GIBBO :(! I know that, I expected that and have no problems with that. I do have problems though when people suggest I am something I'm not, based on the music I listen to. I'm a very friendly person most of the time unless someone gives me reason for otherwise. Tbh it looks a little one sided atm, I'm getting the most stick for retaliating and it's not like I'm swearing at them excessively - just making clear where they can go if they want to come in here and make derogatory remarks about me. If someone doesn't like the same music as me I have no issues with that, if we were all the same life would be boring. However, I'm not saying stuff like:
You listen to My Chemical Romance - your emo go slit your wrists.
You listen to Bob Marley - your a weed smoking rasta.
(Both of those are just stereotypical examples and do not reflect my views.)
Similar example of what is going on in here, just with a different genre of music. Why would you buy mustang parts if you didn't have a mustang... Why would I tell someone to get out if they did nothing wrong to me... answer to both - you/I wouldn't.

Right, enough is enough, its fine to have a difference in opinion etc, but please leave asking about peoples sexual tendencies to another forum, if you felt the need to apologise that you might offend someone its safe to say you already knew it would offend him, so enough of the :fight: and give it up now. its a music thread, not an bitching one.

I made two comments that in the truest form of the interwebz were taken literally and not in the light hearted manner they were intended. problem with the written word is that the message but the tone is not conveyed.
I finally offered an olive branch in the hug post but was greated with yet further derisory comments so I did what anyone should do, let something trivial and worthless pass away, I reported the ******* comment as it was a blatant insult and in fairness had I made the same comment to anyone else I'd expect to have a mod look into it.
I'm not making any further comment with regards to UD or the thread, I only offer an olive branch once, if it's shoved back in my face then it's not my problem. nova's a big enough place I'll keep out of UD's way and I'm sure he'll show me the same courtesy.
To other forum members / mod's if I've said anything inappropriate or caused any offence then I apologise, no if's no but's just sorry.

If you post up on a computer forum that you want to discuss tunes that are considered "belters" and then link to Miley Cyrus et all, then you've got to expect some opinionated remarks about that. I mean come on. Are we only allowed to discuss things that the OP likes? My questions I asked further up were genuine. It wouldn't necessarily offend someone to ask them if they were ***, and would explain a lot in this thread hence why I asked really. Over reaction I feel. A simple "yes" would have done tbh.

Do you have trouble reading the topic..? Looks like it as clearly you only read for what you wanted to read. I'm not about to insult people just because they like different music to me, I will however give you some grief if you make stereotypical and false accusations about me based on music. Moderators and I have already made it quite clear that there is no problem having a different opinion, I'm not a 10 year old kid (if you read this topic you would know that already) but if you are here just to make derogatory remarks then don't complain when someone comes and puts you in your place. Amy did say that if you apologise that your post may offend, you knew it would offend anyway. That's completely right, so get the idea of this topic or don't bother entering it, people like you are just making work for the moderators. Don't know if you heard this phrase, "engage brain before opening mouth"? Same principle applies in the internet mate.

Hi codemonkey :D. No offence, but that kind of destroys the point in having a forum, telling people they can't disagree with others. :/
I'd say I've criticised/put down the OP's taste in music, but not offensively, unlike some others.
