Hello, I have a neptune elite laptop which has model number

MITEC 259IA1

The problem I am having is that while running idle it gets very hot on the right hand side of the keyboard and especially on the bottom right of the laptop when opened up.

Also I'm using several temperature monitoring programs that are all saying the CPU temp is around 75 degrees C which is a bit worrying.

I have cleaned the fan and grill and updated to the latest BIOS which hasn't changed anything. The fan is no noiser than when I first purchased the laptop.

When playing games the laptop will shut down.

Does anyone have any ideas what the exact problem is and what should I do considering I'm out of my original warranty.

Thanks
Marcus

unfortunately it looks like there is something wrong. it may be that the heat sink just needs removing and a new layer of thermal paste applying, however it may be a faulty fan or it could even be the CPU that's causing the problem.

if you wanted to return the laptop for an out of warranty repair we could have a look at it. if you would like to do this please can you call customer services on 0870 112 0612.
