The Best Free Apps

Have had my iPhone a couple of weeks now and was wondering what apps people recommend. currently a bit apprehensive about spending money on them so what free apps would people reccomend?

When I first got it a friend recommended Midomi, its like shazzam but apparently better! As I haven't used both I cannot compare.

I have Skype, Facebook and iPint

I am a Windows Live user so have that bookmarked to the homepage so don't need google! Will try a few of these out later though see what thier like!

Meebo.com is a good wiggit for the screen... does all of the msn type apps

Papi games and the Tap Tap Revengegames are the best in my opinon but there are also alot of other good ones .

I can vouch for TapTap games, really good in depth games and quite enjoyable. Been played alot of Bejewelled 2 lately aswell on my iPod Touch (I know it's a paid game, but it's awesome!)

WifiTracker - Find your nearest wifi hotspot based on wifi signal - seems to find more than the in-built app.
AroundMe - Location database uses GPS to tell you loads of things near you.
Rolando Lite - Cool game where you use the accelerometer to roll ball characters around a map
Tesco Finder - Where's your nearest Tesco?
Banner Free - Scrolling LED messages to flash at people over distance
CatchaMouse - Free addictive game - stop the mouse from getting in his hole
Metal gear Solid Touch Lite - Free version of the cool iPhone game

Of all the games I have i would say by far the best is FlightControl - it's only £0.59 i think and it's soo good. My record is currently 68 planes landed - very stressful tho :D
