Hi
I am now running win7 x64. One of the online games I play is saying it needs flash.ocx for something in the game.
Can I just copy a flash.ocx file to where it goes? It does say it is no longer included in this version of windows.
I downloaded flash 10 but there is no difference

Try a different browser but report the problem to MS, we`re Beta testers after all ;)

Hi GeordieNo1
I managed to get it sorted out. Installed flash for IE as opposed to just for the whole op sys in general. This has ironed out a lot of problems now.
Thank you

Oh I see, I thought you were just talking about the flash player, usually you get a pop up in any browser (or under the address bar if pop ups disabled) informing you of the requirement for flash player. N`eh mind, you`re sorted, sweet :)

also make sure any flash or activex stuff that runs is 64bit browser compatible otherwise run the 32big IE
does anyone know the benefit of a 64bit web browser??? :)

Can`t see any benefit bof other than the obvious kernel optimisations, which users can`t really measure ... good point obout IE64, flash don`t work on it ;)

I play there.com and ingame you can have voice and there are notifications that pop up at times. They wouldn't pop up as it needed flash.ocx, which IE doesn't support anymore. The box that came up after I logged out, asked if I wanted to go to adobe to dl the file flash 10- gave me the option of windows firefox or ie. Originally opted for windows but not good enough, so then re did it for IE and it works ok now
Thanks for useful info. I am running 64 bit, and it seems to have accepted everything I put into it and have had no problems with it. If only I could say the same for my mobile dongle.....
Thanks again
