Hi all, my first post to the forums before hopefully becoming a Blazer owner (depends on the answers I guess). I have sent the following questions to Sales but not heard from them yet so I thought I'd post here to maybe get a quicker responce.
1. When will the "No O/S" version of this laptop be in stock (or any version for that matter)?
2. What it the speed of the SATA drive (5400 or 7200RPM)?
3. Does the laptop have a TV tuner?
4. If it has a TV tuner is it analogue, digital or a hybrid?
5. With regard to the dead pixel policy, if I had a bright pixel in the centre of the screen would you replace it?
6. Are these laptops considered as built to customer spec and thus excluded from distance selling regulations or is it possible to return them within 7 days?
7. Who are laptops normally delivered by (Royal Mail etc)?
I do like the look of it (and the price!) so I quicker I get the answers the quicker I can order it :)
Many thanks
Paul

Hmm, just a quick one, but Danno and co will have to answer the rest.
The Blazer is now in stock
(in fact they were setting 1 of those up i believe along with one of the new sentinel range this morning. And the sentinel is frakkin wild. A lap top? you'd have to have thighs of steel its that big with its 19" widescreen screen)
What the screen shot doesn't show is that it has an orange LCD clock along the front edge, along with buttons for activating either a CD drive or for use with a media player.
Very swish.

Thanks Chewie, I noticed the stock had changed to built with 7 days instead of in production. Any idea on the rest of the answers guys as I still haven't heard any from the sales team either?
Also can you confirm that it has 1 x Type II PCMCIA Slot rather than Express?

Blazer T7400
I would also like to know the answers to a few questions:
1. I also want to know 5400 or 7200 RPM. No earthly point in having a 5400 rpm drive in a laptop of this power.
2. What is the case made of? How strong is it?
3. How easy is it to catch the media buttons along the front whilst resting your wrists and typing on it?
4. Can you do the 2.33GHz (T7600) Core 2 Duo chip? If not, why not since the laptop looks identical to the Evesham C720DC Plus laptop and they have an upgrade to the 2.33 chip.
Thanks
Nigel

Well after waiting and waiting (now 1 week sice first email) for the answers either here or to my two emails to sales I've decided to give the Blazer a miss and order the Rock CTX Pro instead, if the sales team are this lacking at communication what the **** is the support going to be like!? Surely the sales people should be the most proactive in the company!
The rock is a little more if u want the same spec but then u do get a 3 year collect and return warranty plus the option of a zero dead pixel check.
Shame really though as the blazer did look a good machine however any questions about the Rock are answered almost immediately by their large forum base which inc the Rock CEO and other employees.

Well I agree, it doesn't look like Novatech want to sell any of these laptops. Not following up possible sales leads is a cardinal sin of salesmanship. Iguess they lost two sales of this laptop this week, as I am now also looking elsewhere.
