Hi,

I’ve been spending the past week or so trying to get my 4Ghz stable.

Below is what I’ve got set up in my BIOS so far and was wondering if they’re correct or if anyone here know what I could enable/disable to either improve performance or tempratures.

Current Temps: 40 Idle - 75 Load

My setup:
i7 920 D0
Asus P6T Deluxe v2
6Gb Corsair Dominator

Is it stable? If it is then I wouldn't worry. Run prime95 for a few hours and see what happens? http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/

The things I would try to improve stablity would be turn of turbo mode and a little more CPU voltage. I'm far from expert as my 920 isn't 100% stable at 4ghz yet either.

Check if it is stable using Prime95. Keep an eye on your temperatures. Where is this "load" figure coming from?

My load figures are from Prime95.

I found having Turbo enabled created stability problems ... I needed at least 1.35v in BIOS in order to get it stable but my temps soared through the roof when priming for an hour.

I have now disabled Turbo and it seems to be more stable, I also managed to even lower my voltages. So far I'm priming at 1.27v in BIOS. I'm doing an hour prime then dropping the voltages down a step and prime another hour. Once I find the unstable voltage, I will raise it back to the previous one and Prime for 8+ hours.

BTW is load temps at 75c safe?

that load temp is safe.
I7s tolorate a lot more heat compaired to quads, infact they love heat LOL

but dont go past 85c keep that at the very limit.
