    Default Gaming Laptops

Will Novatech be updating its range of gaming laptops within the next 6 months?

Whilst I understand that gaming laptops are a bit of a niche market, it would be nice to have a wider choice available.

    Super news indeed.

Are you able to give the specs/ price point of each please, or is it still to be confirmed?

    Thank you

I just checked the website and the details are already there.

If the GTX670M is any good (at least good enough for DDO that is) then I shall be getting one - I hope Portishead is getting some stock :-)

    Cheers

Well, I took the plunge and bought myself one of the new range (Elite Ultimate 2760) from the Bristol Portishead branch.

As usual the service was excellent and the laptop is great.

Ive yet to try any games on it as all mine are Steam based and are downloading as I type.

I will post a mini review (if any are interested) once Im up and running.

So far though the build quility looks good, the boot time is very quick indeed and the display is flawlessly crisp and bright.

As long as it runs DDO and Skyrim ok then Ill be more than happy.

    Thank you Novatech

I would get yourself a Logitech desktop for it, you need a unifying branded one so you have one micro usb dongle for both mouse and keyboard, saves the laptop keyboard that way.

    Excellent advice.

I normally use a Naga and a Nostromo for gaming (both bought from Novatech) but another keyboard will be good idea.

    Update 1

I installed Crysis 2 and it runs at 1920x1080 on ultra settings with no problems at all.

Also very quiet regarding fan noise

    Very impressed so far

You did, thank you. Much appreciated.

On a further note re. performance, I fired up Skyrim this morning and was pleasently suprised to see the graphic auto detection set itself to Ultra....impressive
