Names Conflict Front Panel to Mobo.

Motherboard MSI K9N SLI V2.
Case Enermax 3030 Pandora.

Different Labels on Front Panel wires from the Case to the Motherboard.
So What is connected to what ????

Case Labels....................Mobo Header.

1/ Mic Power.................1/ Mic-L.

2/ Gnd.........................2/ Gnd.

3/ Mic In.......................3/ Mic-R.

4/ L-Out........................4/ Presense.

5/ R-Out........................5/ Line Out R.

6/ R-Return.....................6/ Mic JD.

7/ L-Return.....................7/ Front JD.

8/ Gnd...........................8/ NC.

Note Gnd x2....................9/ Line Out L.

L & R Out is connected to.....10/ Line Out JD.
L & R Return by a short wire.

Gee, I should think you've got HD Audio on your motherboard and AC'97 audio front panel.

Your motherboard or case manual should explain a workaround here, but it's only partially compatible and may not mute properly and such.

Asrock FAQ#40 discusses this, but seem to skip the headphone wiring:

You'll just have to see how it goes. I don't think anything will blow up, but personally I use the headphone socket on my logitechs which run off the back panel, so haven't spent any time on it.
