I have 4Gb of G.Skill 1066Mhz (2 x 2)
Can i add another brand of 2 x 2Gb 1066mhz and it will still work in dual channel so i can have 8Gb or will they need to be the exact same sticks? |

next on the buy list would be a PSU if I were you, 8GB Ram isn't much better, if at all than 4, but yeah, afaik any other 2 sticks will do (unless there's unforseen compatability issues) its always best to get matching, but if you can't don't fret

If you are looking to overclock, filling all the memory slots on your motherboard, especially with different manufacturers' sticks, will likely as not create problems due to minor differences in the manufacture of the parts, their workings, and even the strain that filling all the slots on the board puts upon the board and cpu.
This is worth bearing in mind, as although general, unclocked use shouldnt be affected really, overclocking will put strain on thigns, and any cracks will start to show.. :xgrin:

You'll need to ensure you put the memory divider on in the mobo settings then, but you probably know that anyway! Sorry for trying to teach you to suck eggs...
