DDR3 1866mhz cl9 vs 2400mhz cl11

looking for ram to upgrade mrs pc with comparing

corsair vengence red 1866mhz

against vengence gold 2400 mhz

i read online that the latency of cl9 is that much better compared to cl11 so my question is which set is better for gaming and heavy multi tasking ( think multiple browser windows netflix face book etc all at once)

thx for any advice and help

In real world terms not an awful lot in it, I always say go for the highest mhz you can afford and that is compatible with your system, but with a bit of tweaking you could get the Red to run at 2400mhz no problem. So for me I’d go Red and tweak but not for any noticeable real world gain lol
