Latest Novatech Bios for Novatech PC-2532

Hi

Is it possible to get the latest bios for the Novatech PC-2532 desktop pc.

From looking at the motherboard in the case it looks as if its a H310M-S2H-20 but I don’t see any revision listed on it like they mention in the gigabyte motherboard manual

Can I update it with the gigabyte F14 bios or do I need a novatech one?

Thanks

Hi
So yes you can upgrade the BIOS directly from the Gigabyte website for your board. The only difference really these days between the BIOS on the site and what we would provide is the Boot logo. So for example BIOS file we use on mainboard would have Novatech Logo rather than Gigabyte Logo during First power on. The rest is basically the same.

In the case of gigabyte boards it is important to make sure that you match board Model Number exactly so for example H310M-S2H and H310M-S2H 2.0 are in fact two different boards. So dont use the BIOS from one on the other as this will cause issue. Once you have established which model board you have the next things you need to check is the PCB Revision. For most mainboards this is only 1.x but sometimes we have seen 2.x or 3.x where Gigabyte have had to change key components during the board life. The PCB Rev on gigabyte boards is usually located on the bottom left edge of the mainboard somewhere between the Audio sockets and the last screw hole on that side of the board.

However all that being said, if your board is indeed the H310M-S2H 2.0 then it appears gigabyte have only ever had one PCB rev of 1.0 so nothing to worry about in this situation. So you can proceed to update to F14 which is the latest for that board model.

Thanks for the information  The board I have is H310M-S2H 2.0 and there is no revision listed on the board.

OK well only been one PCB revision of that board model. Not sure why it does not show the revision as they usually do. In the marketing shots they do have it on the board edge. I highlight in the attached picture for your reference.
