Options for VGA to HDMI Converstion - Advise please

Hi to all,
I am planning to use an old Lenovo MT-M 6072 PC as a Media Player that will connect to my Projector.

The Lenovo only has a VGA Graphics output. The Project has a HDMI Input.

I believe I have two options:

  1. Use a VGA to HDMI portable Adapter /Converter such as the Startech VGA to HDMI portable Adapter Converter / USB Power & PC Audio: https://www.novatech.co.uk/products/cables/adaptors/vga/vga2hdu.html
  2. Install a new graphics card in the Lenovo. The Lenovo has two Expansion Slots: 1 x Full length, Low Profile Height 32 Bit PCI 2.3(5V) & 1 x Half length, Low Profile Height PCI Express x16. I think the following Graphics Card might fit the second expansion slot: ZOTAC GeForce 210 Silent Low Profile 1GB GDDR3: https://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidia210series/zt-20313-10l.html

I would welcome the thoughts of the experts on this forum. My initial inclination is to go for option 2 - a new graphics card.

Thanks in advance

Iā€™d go for option 2 also if you want a smoother video experience then definitely a gpu would be advisable

I would agree, dedicated graphics card will be a lot better.
