Hi, My laptop has been giving me trouble for a while, the screen often doesn’t come on when I turn on and only when I reboot 4 times or wiggle the laptop into a precise position does it work.
It appears to be a hardware problem, probably the adapter cable. I am used to messing about inside computers but some guidance or at least schematics would be helpful, thank you!

I agree it does sound like something is wrong with the screen panel or the wiring loom. However to be sure its not an issue elsewhere in the video subsystem, Do you ever see the issue of no display when using an externally attached monitor, or is the issue only with the internal display. If you move the lid of the unit while the screen is on, does it lose video which might suggest a cable issue as the cable is being moved its losing connection.
